Pregnancy is such a special time and the birth of a child is a life changing moment for every new parent. During these precious few months a new person comes into your life, joins your family and fills you full of love. Capturing all of these moments in beautiful photographic images will give you and your family a lasting memory of this special time, before and after the birth of your baby.

Our Bump to Baby Photoshoot experience begins by capturing photographs of you and your bump around the 34th week of your pregnancy. There are a range of options for your session and you can decide whether you’d like your bump covered or fully on show! You can involve your partner and other children in the fun too if you’d like.

You can then return to visit us as soon as your baby arrives, ideally during the first two weeks so that we can capture the precious early moments of their lives with you. Babies change so very quickly, so it’s wonderful to record their emerging personalities, their expressions and of course how very tiny they were!

We understand that this is a very tiring and emotional time for new parents so we are here to help. Of course you can bring your family with you to include them in the photoshoot or to help you to care for your baby in between shots. Our expert baby team will take great care of your little one, placing them into our handmade photo prop sets for cuteness overload. We will finish off with the gorgeous nude baby photos that many of our parents love.

The finished combination of photographs will be treasured forever.

What to Expect From Your Bump to Baby Photoshoot Experience

Your Bump Photoshoot will take place around your 34th week of pregnancy or soon after. We will make sure you are very comfortable throughout and will talk your through the options for your style of shoot before you arrive.

If you prefer to keep your bump covered then we recommend you wear figure hugging clothes. If you’d like to show your bump off more then you can choose to wear a crop top or even just your underwear.

When you return with baby during their first two weeks we realise that you may be tired and emotional. Let us take the strain and help to soothe and entertain baby whilst you take a break.

We can begin the session with some family photographs if you are feeling up to it to capture the precious moments of the start of your family life. These can include older children too or even pets.

Newborn Baby Photoshoots take around two hours, depending on baby’s mood – we will never rush a session as patience is key to capturing beautiful baby portraits. Your Bump Photoshoot may be a little shorter.

Your Viewing Session

After both sessions we will invite you to return at a mutually convenient time, around one week later, to view both sets of images and decide on your favourites.

Viewing takes place in our relaxing private gallery room where you will see a slideshow of your beautiful photographs. Baby is very welcome to join you as you browse through the beautiful images and reflect on your already changing child.

You can bring your family members along with you so that you can make decisions together and they can help to entertain baby whilst you choose. You will be given plenty of time to decide.

When should I book my Bump to Baby Photoshoot Package

You should book your Bump session for around the 34th week or your pregnancy or soon after. Hopefully you will still feel quite comfortable and you are less likely to miss your session if baby makes an early appearance. We recommend you book your Newborn Baby Photoshoot for when your baby is around ten days old (if possible). We allow spaces in our calendar each week for these sessions as they obviously can’t be booked too far in advance. All we ask is for you to call us when baby has arrived so that we can book your photo session for the following week.

What kind of clothing is right for the sessions?

We recommend that you wear something figure hugging to show off your curves for your Bump session. If you’d like to show off your bump then wear a crop top, vest top or ‘boob tube’ along with complementing underwear. You can chat to us beforehand about the different options.
Your new baby session will begin with some initial family shots. We recommend that you simply wear something that you like and that you will be happy to see yourself in on a portrait on your wall. We advise natural, complementing colours and simple designs for both adults and baby. Try to choose baby outfits that fit your baby well and bring spare clothes in case of accidents.

What should I bring with me for the bump to baby photoshoot?

You can bring a change of clothing for your Bump Photoshoot if you’d like to try different styles. For the Newborn session you should bring everything that you might need for baby, including milk, nappies, changes of clothes and their dummy. You’re also welcome to bring items to personalise your photographs such as baby’s first teddy, a special blanket or mementoes.

I contacted Studio 1 via their website regarding a newborn photoshoot. Emma contacted me less than 24 hours from enquiring and a shoot was organised for when my baby was 10 days old. Both Emma and Ashley were very friendly and welcoming.

On arrival, the studio was clean and modern but with a rustic feel. I hate having my photo taken but Ashley made me feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.

I am very pleased with the final product and so happy that I chose Studio 1 to capture those precious memories. They offer a excellent quality service at very reasonable prices.

After a recent visit to the studio for a photo session. We were greeted by a young lady with a friendly and helpful attitude and great smile. We were offered drinks and made to feel welcome why we relaxed and awaited our session.

The session was really professional and the photographer did really well to engage and entice my children to be natural and amazing. The pictures were processed and edited it a swift and professional manner and upon our return the viewing was conducted professionally and in a smart setting, must note loved the use of the tv to view the images on.

The wide selection of images made choosing almost impossible. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon. Thank you.

Had two different photoshoots done by Ash and been really pleased each time first was a family one at the studio and 2nd was just recently of mine and my new hubby’s wedding day. The studio is lovely and feels so relaxed. Ash is just amazing at what he does, easy to get along with and you can tell he loves his job.
