We simply love animals and are experienced specialists in pet portraits. We love nothing better than working with your pets – dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs… surprise us!
Our photography studio is very pet friendly and we understand that your beloved pet is a part of your family. Animals are as individual as we are and we love to capture their unique personalities and cheeky characters. We also love to create family portraits with pets included and we can work with you to make sure your pet’s personality shines through.
Dog portraits
For many of us a dog is not just a pet. Our ‘fur babies’ are our best friends and are extremely important to us. They steal our hearts from the moment they join our family and we want to remember every moment with them. Your dog’s portrait will be a wonderful reminder of your much-loved pet for many years to come.
Your dog photography session can capture beautiful images of your pet by themselves, or you can get the whole family involved to create amazing memories. Our professional artistic lighting and choice of backgrounds mean we can create fantastic atmospheric dog portraits to suit your pet.
What to expect from your Pet portrait Photoshoot
When you arrive for your appointment we will welcome you and your dog or other pet into the studio. We like to give dogs a little bit of time to sniff around and explore their surroundings so that they feel nice and relaxed.
Whilst they are getting comfortable we can chat about your ideas and expectations for your pet portrait. Our photographer Ashley has many years of experience in dog training which means he can confidently capture amazing portraits of even the most lively or mischievous dog! He has also photographed lots of other types of pet.
Your Viewing Session
After your Pet Portrait session we will arrange a mutually convenient time for you to return to the studio to view your photographs, usually around one week later.
Your viewing takes place in our private gallery room where you can relax and enjoy viewing your images as a slideshow. You can choose to bring your family members along with you so that you can make decisions together.
You will be given plenty of time to decide on your favourite photographs and how they can best be displayed around your home – we have endless options for prints, mounts and frames so we can offer the perfect choice for everyone. We are always on hand with advice to help you to create an outstanding piece of art for your home or the perfect gift for a loved one.

You will be able to choose from our wide range of professional wall products, such as frames, canvases, fine art float frames, glass free photo panels and prints to create personal pieces of art for around your home. You can choose from single or multi aperture layouts in a huge variety of colours and styles. The range of options mean that your finished piece will be truly bespoke and perfectly complement your images and home interior.
Our in house printing and framing service allows you to create a bespoke product. All of our products are printed and hand crafted in house using real wood, acid free mounts and Giclee fine art prints by our highly trained craftsmen.
Frequently asked questions
Should I have my pet groomed before a pet portrait session?
We recommend that you have your pet groomed around a week before you visit for your pet portrait session.
What should I bring to my pet portrait?
You can bring along your pets favourite toy to help them to relax as well as plenty of treats to keep them happy during the photoshoot.
You could also bring a wooden or colourful plastic spoon in case your child doesn’t enjoy the feeling of the cake on their hands.
How long will my pet portrait session last
Your pet portrait photography session will last up to 1 hour depending. This may vary depending on how easily your dog settles. Natural model animals may take just 30 minutes but the more coy pets may take a little more convincing!

I contacted Studio 1 via their website regarding a newborn photoshoot. Emma contacted me less than 24 hours from enquiring and a shoot was organised for when my baby was 10 days old. Both Emma and Ashley were very friendly and welcoming.
On arrival, the studio was clean and modern but with a rustic feel. I hate having my photo taken but Ashley made me feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.
I am very pleased with the final product and so happy that I chose Studio 1 to capture those precious memories. They offer a excellent quality service at very reasonable prices.

After a recent visit to the studio for a photo session. We were greeted by a young lady with a friendly and helpful attitude and great smile. We were offered drinks and made to feel welcome why we relaxed and awaited our session.
The session was really professional and the photographer did really well to engage and entice my children to be natural and amazing. The pictures were processed and edited it a swift and professional manner and upon our return the viewing was conducted professionally and in a smart setting, must note loved the use of the tv to view the images on.
The wide selection of images made choosing almost impossible. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon. Thank you.

Had two different photoshoots done by Ash and been really pleased each time first was a family one at the studio and 2nd was just recently of mine and my new hubby’s wedding day. The studio is lovely and feels so relaxed. Ash is just amazing at what he does, easy to get along with and you can tell he loves his job.
Waiting on my wedding photos but I know I’ll love them as I loved our family shoot.
