Our head photography Ashley has a relaxed and candid approach to wedding photography. His wealth of experience and skills means he will capture all of the natural beauty, joy and excitement of your wedding day in a fun filled way. Ashley will document the atmosphere of your day, capturing the smiles, reactions, love and emotion as the day unfolds, rather than trying to stage too many deliberate shots. Of course you will have the classic group shots and key wedding photographs but these will be complemented beautifully by shots of those unexpected moments of your day. This combination will give you a fabulous collection of photographs to treasure forever.

Contact us as soon as you have confirmed your wedding date and venue. This will allow us time to get to know you both as a couple and to understand exactly how you envisage your day so that we can document it perfectly. We achieve this in a couple of steps:

1. Pre Booking Meeting – You will be invited to come and meet us before your big day.
Choosing your wedding photographer is a very important decision as we will be sharing your special day with you. We offer you the chance to pop in for a coffee and a chat to ensure you are completely comfortable and at ease with Ashley on your wedding day.

2. Pre-wedding Photo Session – Take advantage of our complimentary pre-wedding photo session – included in your wedding photography package. You will have a great opportunity to capture some pre-wedding shots whilst becoming comfortable with Ashley taking your photographs. The shoot can celebrate your engagement or simply give you some relaxed pre-wedding photographs. This will take place in our beautiful photography studio with Ashley capturing fun shots to show off your personalities. You could even display them on your wedding day, framed with space for your guests to sign and record a message for you.

What to expect - Wedding Photography

Once you have booked your wedding photography with us we’ll invite you into our studio for a Pre-Wedding / Engagement Photo Shoot. This session allows you both to become accustomed to being photographed in preparation for your big day. Ashley will offer his help and advice on the best way to stand and pose whilst ensuring that your photographs are natural and that you have fun too.
This appointment also gives you the chance to chat with us over a cuppa whilst we plan all aspects of your wedding photography. We have been lucky enough to attend many couple’s special days so we can give you our tips on making sure the photography runs smoothly.
We will then give you a call in the run up to the wedding date so that we can understand any last minute changes to your plans.
On your wedding day Ashley will arrive at a pre-arranged time and begin documenting your entire day – capturing the emotions, excitement and happy tears as the day unfolds.
After the wedding we will arrange a date for you to come and visit us, once your photographs have been perfected. This is a very exciting appointment where you will be able to view your beautiful photographs as a slide show in our gallery viewing room. Take as long as you like to carefully choose the images that you would like to display on your walls, along with a package of prints and digital images to gift and share.

How far in advance should I book in for my wedding photography?

Ideally you should book your wedding photography as soon as you have have secured your wedding date with your venue

What information do you need before my wedding day

The more information you provide, the better. This should include the time and place of your wedding ceremony and reception as well as the address that you will be getting ready from and the time you will be leaving for the wedding. You should also bring a list of any group shots that you would like Ashley to capture, although we are obviously very happy to help with this.

How do we book you for our wedding photography

You can simply fill out our contact form and Ashley will check your wedding date in our diary and send you over a booking form to secure your date.

When will I receive my wedding photography images

You will be given a ‘sneak preview’ via our social media a few days after your wedding. You can share these with your family and friends at that time. Your full gallery appointment will take place around 4-6 weeks after your wedding. This will also be available as a digital download if preferred.

I contacted Studio 1 via their website regarding a newborn photoshoot. Emma contacted me less than 24 hours from enquiring and a shoot was organised for when my baby was 10 days old. Both Emma and Ashley were very friendly and welcoming.

On arrival, the studio was clean and modern but with a rustic feel. I hate having my photo taken but Ashley made me feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.

I am very pleased with the final product and so happy that I chose Studio 1 to capture those precious memories. They offer a excellent quality service at very reasonable prices.

After a recent visit to the studio for a photo session. We were greeted by a young lady with a friendly and helpful attitude and great smile. We were offered drinks and made to feel welcome why we relaxed and awaited our session.

The session was really professional and the photographer did really well to engage and entice my children to be natural and amazing. The pictures were processed and edited it a swift and professional manner and upon our return the viewing was conducted professionally and in a smart setting, must note loved the use of the tv to view the images on.

The wide selection of images made choosing almost impossible. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon. Thank you.

Had two different photoshoots done by Ash and been really pleased each time first was a family one at the studio and 2nd was just recently of mine and my new hubby’s wedding day. The studio is lovely and feels so relaxed. Ash is just amazing at what he does, easy to get along with and you can tell he loves his job.
